The Foo Fighters has its new drummer, and he is 50-year-old Josh Freese. The band unveiled their pick at their livestream after rumors that Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron and The Darkness’ Rufus Taylor were considered for the position. Josh is known for playing for bands like Guns N’ Roses, Paramore, and Nine Inch Nails.
A New Drummer for the Foo Fighters
Josh Freese is part of the Foo Fighters tour that started on May 24th in New Hampshire. The band is also anticipating the release of their new album called, But Here We Are. The album will be released on June 2nd and shares the minimalist white cassette and album cover for the LP, designed by Morning Breath INC. It is the follow-up to 2021’s Medicine at Midnight and highlights the honest and emotionally raw response to everything the Foo Fighters had to endure in that period.
In a letter to fans, the Foo Fighters vowed to become a different band in the future. In a statement, the musicians wrote that they had said goodbye to the most difficult year the band has ever known and were reminded of how thankful they were for the people that they love and cherish most.
