Apparently, Noel Gallagher spoke on an Italian radio station and said that Man City was doing well and having a good season. He then expressed his hopes that he would be in Instanbul around the time of his new album coming out next May. He continued to point out that it would be absolutely perfect if things went that way because that’s also the time of his birthday, and it could turn out to be the best birthday ever.

Despite being upfront about the release date of the album, Noel Gallagher didn’t want to reveal the name of the album. As for the “Pretty Boy” single, Noel praised Johnny Marr, who teamed up with the band for the single, for taking the tune somewhere special. He pointed out how it was the first thing he wrote, demoed, and finished, so it felt right to make it the first thing people get to hear from the new record.

While Gallagher is often reluctant to feature in his music promos, he teased that he had a cameo in the video. The new record of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will be the follow-up to 2017’s Who Built the Moon? The musician also said he was up for doing any music project and would like to follow the example of Johnny Marr and record a James Bond theme song. Marr, who plays lead guitar on “Pretty Boy,” was featured on Billie Eilish’s Bond theme song “No Time to Die” in 2021.

Johnny Marr and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have also announced they will perform at London’s South Facing Festival at the Crystal Palace Bowl next summer.
